Our hygienist extraordinaire, Jake, has been with us for twenty-five (25) years. She enjoys working with patients on formulating a plan for prevention based on their unique needs. From a biologic dentistry perspective, a lot can be done to prevent and treat problems like gum disease. Patients appreciate Jake’s gentleness in care and her friendly attitude. Jake loves spending time with her two sons.
She graduated from the University of New England in 1996 with a degree in Dental Hygiene, alongside her now coworker and fellow hygienist, Jake. Over the course of her career, she has gained extensive experience in a variety of settings, including general dentistry, a sliding fee community clinic, and a periodontal specialty practice. She also owned and operated her own dental hygiene practice before joining Maine Center for Dental Medicine, which she considers the most rewarding chapter of her professional journey. She later completed a master’s degree in Clinical Nutrition, focusing on the relationship between diet and dental health, allowing her to bring a broader, whole-health perspective to patient care. Most recently, she completed advanced training in myofunctional therapy to further expand the ways she can support her patients’ oral and airway health.
She is deeply committed to creating a comfortable and positive experience for every patient, believing that exceptional care begins with listening and understanding each individual’s needs. In addition to her clinical work, she serves on the Maine Board of Dental Practice and is a clinical examiner for ADEX Dental Licensure Examination, contributing to the advancement and integrity of the profession. Outside the office, she enjoys spending time with her family—she is married and has two adult daughters. She also shares her home with three dogs and loves connecting with patients by hearing stories about their own beloved animals. In her free time, she enjoys traveling to national parks, hiking, and continually learning new things.

Hi, my name is Chloe! I have been working for MCDM for a year and a half now, and about a year as a DA. I absolutely love my job, especially because I have the opportunity to meet and help new people everyday. My favorite part about my job is most definitely interacting with patients and being a part in helping them receive the best care they possibly can, along with being able to work in such a comfortable, family-like atmosphere. My boss, coworkers, and patients make my job worthwhile. I am most known for my chairside stories and my step by step dialog throughout appointments. Outside of work I enjoy spending time with my significant other and our three boys, as well as crafting, thrifting or adventuring. I look forward to being a part of your dental journey!
